The Coach & Horses also affectionately known as the Fair House by our Locals is located in the beautiful Cheshire Countryside with stunning panoramic views looking over the whole of the Cheshire plain. The Coach & Horses is a peaceful rural Inn where you can enjoy a top quality homemade lunch or relax with a drink in the evening, during the Summer taking in the sunset over the Cheshire plain or in the Winter sitting around cosy real log fires.

Our friendly pub is located on the border of Cheshire and the Staffordshire Moorlands in the small village of Timbersbrook. We are only a short distance from the towns of Congleton and Biddulph and are ideally placed to service lunchtime visitors, countryside ramblers and our truly loyal regulars.

What’s on at The Fair House

Full Dining Menu on Wednesday &Thursday Nights

On Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7.00pm the Coach & Diner will be open for meals from our new menu. With the exceptions of a few lunchtime snacks, you can choose from our wide range of options. We also make available many additional specials and have a wide choice of fresh fish to choose from plus options for vegetarians. We recommend that you telephone to book a table to avoid disappointment. Our Pie Night on Saturdays has now become a firm favourite. At £5.00 per head, there is a wide selection of delicious pies to go with your choice of chips, Mash, mushy peas or petit pois. Always lashings of really good homemade gravy.

Car Treasure and Scavenger Hunt Bank Holiday Monday May 27th Starting from 2.00pm Come along and join the fun on the trail which you will work out from the clues provided. It is NOT a race. Take as long as you want. The winning car and occupants will have found the correct trail and have brought the answers to the set clues. They will also have found several items!!

May QUIZ NIGHTS:- 7th & 21st. Start time 8.00pm and always on a Tuesday. Join in the fun and test your knowledge with other quizzers. Half time break with sandwiches and chips. Teams of four take part at £2.00 per person.

Saturday nights are Pie Nights. We have a variety of freshly made pies all served with a number of sides from chips and mushy peas or mash and petit pois with homemade stock based gravy. The dinner service starts from 6.45pm through to 10pm. There is a vegetarian pie available and the cost is £5.00 per person. See you there. If you wish to start your pie night earlier than 6.45 then please give us a ring and book an early bird table. Great for kids to come with parents. If they don't like pies, we have sausages and beef burgers! (We know what children are like...we had some of our own.)

PENSIONERS LUNCH MENU & HIGH TEA TUESDAYS

Pensioners lunch time and High Tea menu will be served every Tuesday from April 16th. There will be a set menu @ £4.95 with a main course and a dessert. Starting at 12.00 noon until 2.30pm and again from 5.00pm till 7.00pm. Our usual extensive lunchtime Menu will also be available, but not however, in the evenings.

The Coach & Diner Lunch time Menu

With the success of the lunchtime meals service we have now increased the choice of dishes on our lunchtime menu. There is more choice for vegetarians and a frequently changing specials menu which includes fresh fish as well as sirloin steaks. Our New Lunchtime Menu gives a wider choice of delicious dishes to choose from and will now be available on Wednesday and Thursday Nights. Booking a table is recommended but not necessarily essential.

Quiz Night

The Next quiz night will be held on Tuesday May 7th & 21st. starting at 8.00pm. Come along and take part. Teams of four or less. £2.00 per head with sandwiches and chips at half time! Its all about having a fun night out and not necessarily about winning. Last weeks winners were The Quarry Men.
